The mentalist shows a display stand that has eight numbered positions along the bottom. There is acardboard strip on the stand, turned to the blank side, and it is explained that on the reverse side of the strip there are eight different designs (one corresponding to each number). Another board is displayed, also turned backwards to show the blank side. The performer states that on the reverse of this board is an enlarged drawing of one of the designs. A spectator names a position from one to eight, and the drawing in that location is noted. The prediction board is turned around and yes, the drawing accurately matches the drawing that corresponds to the spectator chosen number.
