Sucker Block Box
The magician shows a solid cube and puts it inside a top hat. He then opens up an empty box with two compartments and clearly shows it on all sides. The cube is put in one of the compartments, and the doors of the box closed. He then asks the audience to point to the compartment that the cube is in. The doors to the chosen compartment are opened but the die is not there!
This is repeated various times and the spectators can never find the die. But as the magician each time tilts the box one way or the other, and each time with a loud “clink” sound, to the audience it becomes obvious that the block is simply sliding from one compartment to the other… but when the magician finally opens up all the compartments they will see that the cube has completely disappeared. The cube then magically reappears from the top hat!
